Activities

Innovation and equal opportunities that trasform the future

Research and Analysis

Training

Acquiring new skills opens up new opportunities.

For this reason, NOVA will develop innovative vocational training programmes designed to help women strengthen their digital, transversal, and entrepreneurial skills, enabling them to enter the labour market with greater confidence and autonomy.

The training will be practical, accessible, and adapted to the real needs of businesses, helping participants feel better prepared, maximise their potential, and create new professional opportunities.

Employability

Finding a job is not only about having skills, but also about knowing how to use them effectively.
Through mentoring, career guidance, and practical tools for labour market integration, NOVA will support participants in building their professional pathways, helping them develop confidence, knowledge, and practical tools to enter the labour market.

The project will also create links between women, businesses, and local communities, promoting more inclusive and sustainable professional opportunities.

Research and Analysis

To create real opportunities, the first step is to listen to and understand the actual needs of the local community and the labour market.

Through research, interviews, questionnaires, and discussions with companies, experts, and training centres, NOVA will analyse the skills currently most in demand in Colombia and Ecuador, with particular attention to digital, transversal, and entrepreneurial skills.

This activity will make it possible to identify the gap between labour market requirements and the skills that many women have fewer opportunities to develop, laying the foundations for more useful, inclusive, and future-oriented training programmes.

Our partners

The Aburrá Sur Chamber of Commerce (CCAS) in Colombia and the Guayas Chamber of Small Industry (CAPIG) in Ecuador are collaborating on the project as partner organisations. Their role is advisory and supportive, drawing on their knowledge of the business community, the labour market and the needs of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in their respective regions. At the same time, both Chambers help to facilitate contact between vocational training centres and businesses, support the promotion of the project amongst their members and business networks, and advise on adapting training content to the current demands of the labour market.
